The National Osteoporosis Society report on the lack of clear exercise guidance for people with osteoporosis. They conclude that as a result, health professionals often pass on conflicting information and wrongly advise patients to stop doing exercises which they believe are harmful. This must be so confusing for patients who are given different advice by different people. Hopefully the new guidance being created will ensure that all healthcare professionals are giving the correct and same information.
Public Health England suggest that all adults should do strengthening and balancing exercises twice a week alongside aerobic activity.
